Building
a Deck
Building a deck is one of the most exciting aspects of Conquest of Fates! It allows you to create strategies that fit your unique playstyle, capitalize on faction strengths, and challenge your opponents in new and unpredictable ways. Follow these steps to construct a competitive and fun deck:

The Basics

- Card Limit: 40-80 Cards in your deck
- Your deck can only contain 1 Faction
- Your deck can include up to 3 copies of most units
- Your deck can include up to 1 copy of any Apex units
- Your deck may contain up to 1 Star
- Your Deck can't contain any units on the Forbidden Zone list
Establish A Strategy
Aggression
Focus on high-CQ units to score easy points and overwhelm your opponents quickly.
Control
Use debuffs and support cards to disrupt enemy plans in their tracks.
Combo
Build a deck around a powerful card interaction or win condition.
Once you have a strategy in mind, start selecting cards that complement your plan.
Balance Your Cards
A Well-rounded deck usually includes:

20-25 Core Cards
Once you know your direction for your deck you’ll want to look at your win conditions and building blocks to get you to the win conditions.
Usually it’s easiest to pick a single card – or a few cards with redundant abilities and treat them as your proverbial “North Star” as you build.
10-15 Support Cards
Defense and Disruption are very important in Conquest of Fates. Getting points is your main goal, but sometimes slowing down or stopping your opponent from getting points can be even more valuable.

Test and Refine
While building your deck make sure to shuffle it up and draw a hand of cards or two. See if you can make some plays and respond to some potential plays. Take note of Strengths, Weaknesses, and Areas to Improve.
