The Perfect Spawn are ancient, otherworldly beings that serve as both a mystery and a menace across the cosmos. These gargantuan, floating entities resemble massive eyeballs wrapped in writhing, sinewy tentacles. They drift silently through space, observing and judging the universe, their motives and origins shrouded in enigmatic lore. At least one Perfect Spawn is believed to exist in every galaxy, often lying dormant for centuries before suddenly unleashing cataclysmic destruction upon entire worlds without warning or reason.
Legends claim the Perfect Spawn are fragments of a divine being—eyes torn from a godlike entity to enact its unknowable will. Their mere presence invokes awe and dread, as they are said to be impartial enforcers of cosmic balance. When a Perfect Spawn acts, its destruction appears indiscriminate, yet scholars argue their actions are calculated, following a grand design beyond mortal comprehension. Some civilizations worship them as divine arbiters, while others revile them as the ultimate nemesis of life.
Over a millennium ago, humanity faced their wrath firsthand. One Perfect Spawn descended upon Earth, reducing it to nothing but ash and memories. This apocalyptic event forced humanity to flee into the stars, eventually establishing the Nova 7 Empire. To this day, the Perfect Spawn are central to human propaganda, depicted as the ultimate adversary in training academies and wartime speeches. Yet, for all their fearsome power, most Perfect Spawn remain eerily still, lurking in the void like celestial sentinels.
Rumors persist of civilizations that have tried to commune with these beings, offering sacrifices or dedicating entire religions to them, but no evidence has emerged that they can be reasoned with or controlled. Despite their dormant nature, the mere possibility of their awakening strikes terror into the hearts of countless factions. Are the Perfect Spawn guardians of the universe, or are they a harbinger of its end? No one truly knows, and no one dares to ask.
The Original
These are utilized as your core units. With only 3 CQ, and no individual effects to speak of, you’ll need other Spawn units to truly turn them into a universe-controlling resource.
Enhancing
Utilizing units that seek to enhance the Perfect Spawn directly can be a potent strategy. With so many of them in your deck you can score a lot of points by transforming them into undeniable threats.
Multiplying
Having 15 of the same unit can be very powerful, and you’ll want to utilize tools like the Hydra Spawn to pull them from your deck, hand, discard pile and more – making use of this army at your disposal.
Targeted Removal
While destroying some units that are large and powerful as Perfect Spawn themselves is difficult, the Spawn are capable of hitting smaller CQ utility units from out of nowhere and dispatching them with ease.
Universal Destruction
The Perfect Spawn are not a hivemind, nor are they individual intelligences, and thus they have no qualms about sacrificing thier units to destroy others. Such power and universal destruction makes them marked threats.
Pure Chaos
When destroying individual units is too tedious, too slow; When a faction has really incurred the wrath of the Unknown divine, Sometimes destruction at a biblical scale is required to bring the universe under control.
Watching Your Hand
Before a faction can cause chaos and unrest, the Spawn will intervene. With the ability to look places that other factions can’t – and cards like Watcher Spawn let you take your opponent’s best card before they ever get to play it.
Keeping them Silent
Even with it’s drawback of not being able to mute Apex units, Stranglethought is one of the very limited lightspeed deployment units that can Mute a unit. Shutting off key units and combos before they can start.
Demanding Compliance
Some units may seal off zones entirely, while others reshape them into areas where only certain card types can thrive. This ability to dominate the battlefield’s structure makes the Perfect Spawn a strategic powerhouse
